Diamond With 18K Gare
Lets Start with care of the Diamond Jewellery: Diamonds can be as old as the earth itself, and are one of the hardest gems on earth, however, they still need to be treasured and cared for to keep them sparkling, So how can you keep your diamond looking its very best? Here are some tips on keeping your diamond sparkling.
Handel your Diamond sparingly: Diamonds are natural magnets for grease, so they’re not easy to keep clean. When a diamond is handled, the oils from your fingers adhere to the diamond’s surface and affect its brilliance and fire.
Clean your Diamond Jewels regularly: Use Water and Dishwashing Liquid to Clean the Dirt: Soak the diamond in a mixture of warm water and dishwashing liquid. Use a soft toothbrush to scrub it clean, then, just rinse your diamond jewelry with water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. If you’re working over a sink, make sure to close the drain.
Always remember not to use Harmful Solutions: Chlorine bleach or abrasives (such as household cleansers or toothpaste) should never be used when cleaning diamond jewelry. Chemicals like chlorine can damage some of the metals used to alloy gold for diamond settings and abrasives can scratch gold and other metals.
Pearls Jewellery Care
Pearl is one of the most gorgeous gemstones , it is beautiful as its found no need for any cutting or polishing. Its ethereal beauty and soft glow are enough to captivate and win hearts.
Having said that, these gemstones are incredibly delicate and can get damaged very easily. To avoid this, we’ve mentioned below step-by-step instructions that will help you clean your pearl jewelry safely and effectively.
When should you clean your pearls?
To avoid unnecessary stress on this gem, we recommend cleaning your pearl jewelry with water only when stained or extremely dirty. You can consider gently wiping this gem with a lint-free cotton cloth after every use. This will rid the jewel of any grime build-up that may have occurred throughout the day.
Storage: Place this stone in a separate cloth pouch or section to prevent scratches. Avoid using plastic bags as the chemicals present in them could negatively affect pearls in the long run. Similarly, refrain from using airtight packages as they will prevent this gem from getting the moisture it needs to maintain its shine.
Usage: As touched upon before, pearls require hydration to retain their luster. So try wearing your gem at least once a month. Wear the accessory after you’ve put on your makeup and perfume to minimize the damage that can occur due to the chemicals present in these products. Make it a point to keep aside your pearl jewelry if you plan to go for a swim in the pool as the high chlorine content may negatively impact this gem.
Care about Opal Jewelllery
Because we love opal, we like to educate our customers on how best to care for their opals, so they can enjoy the beauty of this individual and precious gemstone for many years to come. Please take a few moments to read this guide
Solid Opals – Opal is a soft stone, approximately the same hardness as glass (around 6.5 on Moh’s hardness scale), so it is important to treat your opal carefully in order to avoid damaging it. Remove your opal jewellery if there is a chance it will be scratched or broken (i.e. working in the garden, moving furniture, etc.)
Cleaning the Opal Jewellery: Solid opal should be cleaned gently with mild detergent in warm water and a soft toothbrush or cloth. Avoid bleach, chemicals and cleaners. Doublets & triplets may be wiped with a damp soft cloth and mild detergent, but should never be soaked or immersed.
Storage: If you need to store your opal away for a period of time, simply place it in a padded cloth bag for protection and store it away. For longer storage periods, place your opal in cotton wool with a few drops of water, then into a sealed plastic bag just to be safe. The water is not intended to soak into the stone (as opal is impervious) but will prevent water coming out of the stone if it is exposed to very low humidity environments (for example, zero humidity storage safes).
